Trainers....What do you think of Parelli now?

Hey guys, just thought I would let you guys take a look at this video, at least the first part for now, and let you know how I see this.
I agree with almost everything Rick is describing it this video. So now that you all see this, always learn as much as you can about people, you never know what they are really like, Linda is widely known, she has her lively hood at stake, she does this on her training videos, if I had bought this and saw this, I would have asked for a refund, I wouldn't want to use this training method, if this is just ground work what else happens behind closed doors? It just makes you think. Linda Parelli is a BIG name horse trainer, what do you guys think of this? Do you want this happening to your horse? How in the world is this right? The horse is confused and scared because of the person,

Good riding day!

Hey guys! So today was a fun day, we had our 2nd thanksgiving meal, we had one at my grandmas, and then one at our house, then after we ate, me and roni went out to ride, it was an AMAZING day to ride, and if you didn't make it outside to ride today you are INSANE!!! It was like 50 but it felt a lot warmer, I had a long sleeve shirt on and I was nice and sweaty when we were done, so was Chuck roni was wearing a t-shirt and she was fine, and she just worked with Jack on reining and foot positioning and backing. Chuck and I worked on transitions today, we worked on walk-halt, walk-trot, trot-halt, halt-trot, halt-canter, trot-canter canter-trot, canter-halt, and walk-canter. He did AMAZING!!! He still needs to work on the halt-canter, but everything else is show-worthy transitions, I loved it so much!!! There were a few times as soon as I asked for the canter he only took the one step needed to get into the correct lead, and he is getting so much better about picking up the right lead, he only picked up the wrong lead once and I was so happy for him!!! Chuck had worked up a good sweat, so we went on a trail ride, we were walking along, and a car came by, Jack wasn't looking, so he spooked at it, and Roni im SOOOO proud of you cause you handled it so well. She let him do his thing for a few seconds, and then went on like nothing happend! Yay! So lesson here is don't make a big deal out of something like that, just be calm, and your horse will realize there was no danger, nothing to spook about, another car drove by, and he didn't even really pay attention, his ears flicked forward, then started rotating around listining to roni and other things again. So proud of how the horses did today, I have 3 videos for you guys tomorrow when I can upload them from my phone, one is how to get burrs out of your horses mane, the other is how to post on the correct diagonal from horseback POV, and the other is cantering Chuck around horseback POV this was just our warm up, so we I wasn't focoused on transitions, so he had a little free time to kinda just relax and just stretch out and get loosend up before we got down to work. So overall it was an AWESOME day! So I have an idea in my mind, but im not sure if it will happen yet, so I won't say it, but if it does happen it will be over x-mas break and it will be so fun!

Exciting Morning!

Hey guys, so the horses bout gave my a heart attack this morning! When somebody comes in the house and yells “their out!” me and roni drop everything and I do mean DROP the horses had gotten out, and they were out by the road/field, all of this happening as the bus was coming down the road! We got 3 leads,  and ran out, so like I said about being able to lead Chuck by sticking my thumb in his mouth really came in handy, I caught him and brought him to my mom, my mom threw a rope over his neck, and this is another good thing that all of our horses know, If there is a rope over your neck you act like its attached to your halter and follow the person. They all know this for the most part, I got a rope and threw it over Jets neck, and grabbed Jack by the halter, by this time the bus had been there a little while and was waiting for us on the road, Lucky never wants to be caught but he will sure follow! Roni grabbed Pearl, and we all headed back to the gate down our drive a little ways, they had been all out in the field by the road behind our house. Lucky stopped a little ways before the gate, so I ran grabbed Chuck and ran way out into the pasture to get everybody to follow along with lucky. Another good thing that Chucks so well trained in leading rope on his neck, and me running as fast as I can. If he was a pushy horse that wouldn’t work well.  Lucky eventually came in, and as soon as that was done, I let Chuck go, and ran for the house to get my laptop bag, and my binder that had all my papers fly out of it and my poptart case without my pop-tarts in it. So an EXCITGING way to start the morning!

Todays lesson

Hey guys, so today was a good day, this morning I went hunting, we didn't even see anything but I almost fell off the tree stand! I was climbing up, and the whole ladder and stand slid and shifted because of all the rain we have had in the past few days it washed the hillside down a bit, I held on for deer life! It was okay tho, I got the rest of the way up and back down without difficulty :)
We had a lesson today too, instead of riding Mavrick I rode Pete today, he has been being very very naughty the past week so I rode him during our lesson, he has been acting out because a horse he was best friends with (his name is Blaze and OMG HES SO PRETTY!!!!! I have to say he is the best looking solid color horse I have ever seen! shh.... dont tell Chuck or Jet....) so this past week he has been beating the crap out of other horses protecting Blaze, and has been having a bad attitude towards other horses and tries to kick and bite at them while people try to ride. He did super good, the only thing we had trouble with is cantering, he cant pick up the right lead because he has arthritis in one of his legs. He picked up the right lead right away tho, and I really love his canter, he has the second smoothest canter next to Chucks, Chucks is a dream to ride its so collected and lovely! Pete has a nice smooth trot too, I sometimes had a hard time telling what diagonal he was on because he hardly moves his legs, but still keeps up pretty good for how short he is! Roni and I have made up a game where you have to put a water bottle on a certain thing while riding, like a truck, tractor, pole, barrel, and tons of other stuff. Well that finally paid off today, during our lesson we had a contest with the other two girls who ride with us. We put electric fence post insulators on the walls, and you had to get them one at a time and put them in the bucket, you had to stay going the same way, you could trot, and you couldn't cut through the middle to get to your bucket, we won 13-11 so it was close but it was still fun! The babys at the barn are getting so big, they look identical, its hard for people to tell them apart unless you know them well. The one baby had surgery, and when they did that they hit a nerve, and he couldn't breath so they had to put in a trach. (i don't know how to spell it) He is doing much better now,  he and the other buck and play all the time, its always a good site to pull into the barn and see them running around bucking and playing with each other.
Today I did a BIG PROJECT I have started my obstacle course, I build a rope gait, the bridge needs some new wood for the top, but we should have that fixed soon, there is a small jump, a pool lader that you have to mount and dismount on and off of, a basket ball that you take to a bucked and throw it in, then there is the mail box, and the turn-around box, I still have plenty more ideas in mind, hopefully I will have the supplies the next weekend I am home so I can put them to the test, I didn't ride through it tonight but took a video from the ground going through it, Chuck even helped me set it up.  So here are some videos from recently!
Okay the stupid blogger isn't working so here are the links to all of my videos so you can see if you missed any! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4ioLjAg0h7ehfwvGTgZUgw/videos

Horse Demo

So this weekend went AMAZING! So Saturday was an early morning I was up and moving by 5 and in the tree by 6. We ended up not seeing anything, then after that was off to our lesson. We went and practiced for the Demo/Show, we were did a Musical Drill Team presentation, like the serpinten riders, but english. :) We had 5 people riding in our group. After that we came home and I went out to work with Jet, I thought him the basics of lunging, but he has a nasty problem, It could have ended badly if I wasn't paying attention. If you ask for anything more than a slow walk he KICKS he got much closer to my face than I would have liked he kicked out a total of 14 times during the time that we worked, and I got some rope burn in the process :(  After that we went back out to the tree stand, and saw nothing again.
Today started out early again, up at 5 am, but we didn't get to the tree as soon as we had liked, while we were walking to the stand I rolled my ankle, It HURT! I laid there for a little bit trying to not cry at all, but I laid there for a few minutes breathing pretty deep, then Nick helped me back up, and we continued our walk to the stand. After we were finished hunting we walked back along the road, and less than 30 yards away was a deer but we couldn't shoot at it cause we didn't have permission to hunt there. So then we came home, and I worked with Chuck for a bit, then we had to get ready for the show. My mom and both of my grandmas came because my step dad had to take the boys to the football game, and my real dad doesn't like horses. We had fun at the show, I got to watch the jumper group, we will be able to start jumping soon too, one girl who was jumping on Pete lost her seat, and crashed head first into the ground, she got right back up and rode him around again, that was the only accident from today. We are now going to add onto the barn, there will be 5 more tie stalls for grooming and tacking up, a new tack room, 2 more box stalls, a bathroom in the barn, and a new heated and air conditioned lounge for watching lessons.
After that I went to get my dress fitted for homecomming, I love it its pretty :) Then we came home and rode Chuck and Jack some more, they are both comming along really well :) here are some pictures and videos from everything.
Our barn has around 40 riders around 30 were able to make it to the show today

Our youngest rider at the barn is 3 years old
